Installing for the first time?

Google Apps should be installed via recovery immediately after installing Custom ROM. If you reboot into system before installing Google Apps, you must factory reset and then install them, otherwise expect crashes. Addons, if you want to use, should be installed in same manner on top of BiTGApps. Please read the FAQ before installation.

Helpful Tip

Prevent partition mounting issues in some cases.

You should reboot to recovery after flashing Custom ROM for fresh installation.

Dirty Flash

Installing for the second time and so on?

Re-flashing of the same package or upgrading to the latest release doesn't require factory reset.

SetupWizard Configuration Required

SetupWizard need to be configured before installation. Checkout instructions for SetupWizard below.

SetupWizard's main purpose is to assist Android users when they have to first set up their phones, especially if they want to transfer old data, such as apps, pictures, and personalized features, from their previous phone or right after a reset.

Want to install SetupWizard with BiTGApps?

In order to have SetupWizard with BiTGApps, the configuration file must be placed in internal or external storage before installation. Avoid placing the configuration file in folders that contain special characters like "@#$" and spaces in their name. In case both options are not available then follow below workaround.

Important Note for LineageOS Recovery (and similar environments): Internal storage cannot be read directly due to data partition encryption. Moving configuration files to internal storage will fail. Use the steps below to overcome this restriction.

  1. Download the configuration file from the link above and save it to your PC or local storage.
  2. Unpack the BiTGApps ZIP file and paste the downloaded config directly into the root of the extracted folder else it won't work.
  3. Select all the files inside the folder (do not select the main folder itself) and re-pack them into a new flashable ZIP file.

Seamless OTA Updates

Architecture Compatibility & Survival Guide.

Version Compatibility

Version like Core, Mini, Omni, Roar support Android 16 to 7.1.x and support both 32 and 64 bit device platform. However Nano, Atom, Pico, Full and Tint version support Android 16 to 14 and compatible ONLY with 64 bit device platform.

Platform Architecture

In addons, All work with both 32 and 64 bit device platform whereas ARM work with 32 bit and ARM64 work with 64 bit device platform. Make sure you know about your device platform.

Important: OTA Survival & Backups

For OTA survival, If your ROM supports addon.d backup functionality (most ROMs do), it's not necessary to install GApps with each ROM update, as long as you don't manually wipe the System partition. The backup script will backup your installed GApps and restores them after your ROM has been updated. If the ROM does not support backup functionality then you must reinstall with each update. That is your job to know whether the rom you're using support backup functionality or not, instead of knowing right at the moment.

These Android 16 builds shipped with APKs taken directly from latest Pixel OTA. Whenever a new Google Pixel OTA is released, which is monthly, we will also release newer Android 16 builds with APKs taken from that Pixel OTA. Core Server Pipeline & Execution
Requirements & Queues You need to use pre-defined options from below to make build request. Enter a username of your choice, it must be exactly seven alphanumeric characters contain only letters and numbers.
Ultra-Fast Delivery Our server CronJob runs after every two minutes. You will get your build done in less than a minute. Build server will now accept all incoming requests and they will be sorted and processed in random order.
Manifest Storage You will also get your folder based on provided username created on server within CronJob time frame. From this folder you can access both older and newer builds. Each build has its own text file containing list of google apps added in that specific package.
Storage & Lifespan Once disk space of the build server reaches a critical level, previous builds will be removed including folder based on the provided username to maintain performance.

Module Installation & Compatibility Details

Module installation is back. Same builds can be installed as a Magisk or KernelSU module.

BiTGApps includes both functionalities in one package. Perks of module installation, required free space is no longer an issue. You can also remove Google Apps installation. Always survive ROM OTA upgrade with flash and forget experience. Do not disable module, otherwise expect crashes. An edge case for some latest version of KernelSU or forks explained below.

Metamodule Requirements (KernelSU & Forks)

You might need a metamodule installed before installing this as module. Some latest version of KernelSU or forks require metamodule for modules that adds or update files in system without this the module files will not be loaded after reboot. Also when this flashed as module first before flashing a metamodule, this will also cause module files to not load after reboot.
